Internal Medicine (Section 6 EMBASE)

This journal aims to provide its readers with a swift, yet complete, current awareness service. This is achieved both by the scope and structure of the journal, key features of which are:-

• Careful selection of relevant abstracts (and other bibliographic data) from the latest issues of 4,000 leading international biomedical journals.

• The arrangement, within each journal issue, of abstracts into separate chapters devoted to a specific topic. Important clinical articles on diseases affecting internal organ systems in adults are covered. The chapter breakdown allows for both organ systems and disease type, and there are chapters for diagnosis, treatment and epidemiology and prevention. Diseases in children are covered in Section 7: Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery and more detailed coverage of the disease type or organ system may be found in the appropriate Abstract Journal.

• Detailed author and keyword indexes to allow the reader to locate articles of special interest.
