Foot and ankle surgery has developed into a highly sophisticated and differentiated specialist area. With scientific original articles, reviews inside and outside of special topics, reports on modern surgical techniques, case reports, clinical tips and tricks as well as information on legal issues, the journal represents the current scientific status of foot and ankle surgery. Besides covering all core aspects of foot & ankle surgery such as orthopaedics, trauma and reconstructive surgery including sports medicine, it also features related topics like diabetic foot care, rheumatology, orthotics and insoles, dermatology, plastic surgery, novel biomaterials, biomechanics, gait analysis, cartilage repair, and podiatric surgery and orthopaedics.

The International Editorial Board welcomes original research articles, reviews, and case reports from all countries in English or German.
